A retrieval request is an opportunity for you to address a questions before it becomes a chargeback. This occurs with a customer, or credit card issuer, requests information about a transaction to determine if it's valid. Depending on the processor, you generally have about 10 days to respond to a retrieval inquiry. Failure to respond will most likely result in the request being converted to a chargeback.
